Photos from the year!

Hello Everyone!

I hope we are all settling into 2014 just fine, and sticking to those resolutions you set yourself at the beginning of January. ;) Sorry I have been absent on this blog for a while, I have been so caught up with getting my University applications up together. Submitting pieces of work, here, there and everywhere. I've also been rather unimaginative when it has come to blog content, it can be so hard sometimes.

Anyway, that's enough of that! I wanted this post to be a creative, artsy one to show off my photography skills. And to also show the best times of 2013 through a documentary of photos. What a great start to 2014 blogging, eh!?

January:

 iTunes festival.

October:

The panto was a great success.

I finally overcame my craving to make homemade pizza, yum!
November:

December:
I got my first article published in Mayhem! magazine.

Even my cat got into the Christmas spirit.

Winter Wonderland was so magical.

Went to JLS' last ever tour date with my sister.

So that is my year (2013) in pictures, it's great to look back at the images you have taken and bring back all the great memories. As I completed an AS level in photography, I think I have definitely got better at achieving nice photos and love looking back at photos taken years ago to see how my skills have developed. Getting an SLR camera for my 18th this year has made me set myself a goal to produce so many more wonderful photographs to be proud of.

Great things come to those who wait....

18 years to be precise!
Since I turned 16 two very long years ago, I tried so hard to get a little part time job to fit in with my college work. I applied for so many jobs, I spent hours filing out application forms (when it probably should've taken 15/20 minutes each! Whoopsie) with no reply, how rude! :/ But finally September 2013 came along and I had an interview at Primark (my first ever!) which went well! Within a week I found out I'd got the job, had my induction and completed my first 4 hour shift! Finally things were going my way and that wasn't the end of the great things....
Also in the same month (splendid September I'll call it!) my sister won two tickets to see the Arctic Monkeys at the iTunes festival! We had about a week to prepare for this amazing night of awesome music, this included persuading my dad to let us go as it was a week day and trying to scrape together money to get a train and tube ticket. I can honestly say that The Arctic Monkeys are one of the best live bands around, they sung a mixture of their old hits and a few from their recently released album. I'd love to see them live again, they're worth every penny you spend!

So this splendid September carried on to my birthday, the big one! My 18th was finally here, much to my parents surprise and shock at how fast the years have gone by (wasn't it just the best 18 years of your lives..mum? Dad?) For this milestone age my dad bought me a DSLR camera, a big professional camera for those who talk photography aha Incase you ask I have no clue what DSLR stands for, which is good as I got a B in my photography AS level ahaha. Anyway back to the camera, my beautiful baby, I fell in love when I first got it and started experimenting with all the buttons. I have already received a request from a friend whose prom will be next July to photograph her and her friends together, just call me your own personal photographer for any events! ;) aha

So to end this uber long blog post, sorry for that! (Thanks for reading though, aha) I will just talk about ending a splendid September on a very good note by finding out I am now going to be working Saturdays for 4 hours as well as Sundays for 4 hours. This means more money for me to buy things with.... Hmmm I kind of hate spending my own money! :/
This blog post is brought to you through my blogger app on my newly purchased iPhone, oooo get me! Thank you so much again for reading this! If you liked this or didn't please leave me some feedback below, or maybe if you have a suggestion for future posts! :)
